There are a number of advantages, though, to students having their own power supplies. They are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Well-defined output voltages can be supplied, i.e. there is no drop in the voltage when a load is connected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work can be done individually at each work station. This is particularly helpful when sets of measurements are being made.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The tables where the students are working do not need any wiring other than a standard mains outlet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The power supply can be equipped in a particularly suitable way for students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-columns advgb-columns-wrapper\" id=\"advgb-cols-71653c1b-8c09-4890-8ac4-884dd3008476\"><div class=\"advgb-columns-container\"><div class=\"advgb-columns advgb-columns-row advgb-is-mobile advgb-columns-2 layout-23-13 mbl-layout-stacked vgutter-10\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-column advgb-column advgb-is-two-thirds-tablet advgb-is-full-mobile\" id=\"advgb-col-f6006cf0-99a2-49be-b6be-6d3d1c52a343\"><div class=\"advgb-column-inner\" style=\"border-style:none;border-width:1px\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MKS 3.1 low-voltage power supply<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This handy low-voltage supply can easily be used whenever a continuously adjustable DC voltage of between 0 and 12 V is needed, or for fixed AC voltages of 2 V, 4 V, 6 V or 12 V where an overall load of 3 A suffices. The equipment supplies stabilised AC voltage with a perfect sine-wave form as well as similarly stabilised and optimally smoothed DC voltage, continuously adjustable between 0 and 12 V in each case.
