Without a lot of overhead

Biology thrives on observations and their connections. It is therefore not surprising that of the many ways to inspire children and teenagers about biology, the one that is undoubtedly most effective is the one in which young people can experiment themselves. The question is whether this is possible without additional effort and time for the teacher, especially since the experimenting should take place during class and with the whole class.

With the MEKRUPHY system the effort for student experiments can not only be minimized, but can even be generously compensated for in other areas.

The great efficiency of the MEKRUPHY system is based on the synergy of four distinctive factors:

  • high quality of the equipment,
  • fixed study group,
  • elaborate experiment literature,
  • production in Germany.

The principle

The experiment sets and instructions are distributed by the teacher. The student groups build the experiments according to the description, perform them independently and document their observations. After the experiment, the students put the equipment back into the boxes and hand them over to the teacher, who checks them quickly with just one glance and puts them back in the cabinet.

The study group

Ideally, the groups consist of two students each and remain the same for all experiments throughout the school year. Each group is assigned a number and listed, and always works with the experiment set of the same number. Thus, they are responsible for “their” set.

High Quality instead of “Low Cost”

The MEKRUPHY system puts high-quality experimentation equipment in the hands of students, allowing for highly accurate results. Only in this way do they feel taken seriously as “experimental contributor in class” and are able to take responsibility, and only in this way can the scientific rigor of the experiments be credibly conveyed.

Easy organisation

The high-quality, extremely durable, and visually appealing polyurethane box insert gives each device its place thorugh individual cutouts. This naturally teaches students to be organised from the start and makes it easier for the teacher to keep track. The box insert is equipped with handles where necessary, making it easy to remove. Afterwards the box can be used as a stand or a tray.
