Experiment set MACHINES and BRIDGES

Description

Constructors and technicians of tomorrow

This experiment set appeals to all students who are already interested in technology or those who are willing to get interested in it. From a simple inclined plane to first, second and third-class levers, the golden rules of mechanics are always confirmed. Any reduction in the force to be applied means applying it over a greater distance. Further topics are

  • Transmissions:
In these experiments on changes to rotational motion, the students will feel like they have been transported to a real mechanics workshop. They can enjoy investigating the effects of wheels, belts, gears and chains and respond eagerly when they can finish by using the battery-powered electric motor
  • Design of bridges:
In the last five of the sixteen experiments in total, youngsters can feel like they are already bridge designers. They can see how a girder works better for bridges than a plank, see the effect of arches and chains and weigh the pros and cons of bridges using piers, of arched bridges or suspension bridges
