Rubrik: Upgrade option for existing MGA versions
Although the lifespan of digital solutions is generally shorter than that of analogue equipment due to ongoing technological advances, we are committed to developing durable products and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the MEKRUPHY experimental programme. This includes continuous software updates, compatible hardware upgrade options and the long-term availability of spare parts. To support the use of wireless sensors, we have revised the accompanying workbooks accordingly.
Existing MGA versions included in our experiment kits can be upgraded at any time to Bluetooth connectivity, enabling use with tablets and other mobile devices running iOS or Android:
ACOUSTICS 2
No upgrade is required here: simply connect the audio cable directly to the tablet. If your tablet no longer has an audio input, you can use a USB-C audio adapter to connect it. Such an adapter is also available from our online shop.
When using a tablet, the amplifier is no longer required.

WARMTH 3 and MECHANICS 5
Two single-channel data loggers or one dual-channel data logger transmit the measurement data to the tablet.

ELECTRICS 5
Two single-channel data loggers or one dual-channel data logger transmit the measurement data to the tablet. The required sensor connection cables are already included in your existing version.

Note
If several different ADDESTATION experiment kits are available within the school, the single-channel and dual-channel data loggers can, of course, be used across different experiment kits.
