Rubrik: Chemistry Lab coats

Just as trainers and suitable clothing are necessary for physical education, a lab coat and safety glasses should be considered a prerequisite for practical chemistry lessons. They should belong to the essential school equipment of all pupils. In addition to their essential protective function, both items help reinforce that in a laboratory there are certain rules that must be followed in the interest of safety. Also the parents, who are usually responsible for buying such items, are reminded of the importance attached to learning by experience in modern science education.

Full safety glasses with an adjustable headband are available as a reserve in box C2. If pupils forget their own safety glasses, they can still do the practical work. These safety glasses can also be worn by pupils over prescription glasses. It should become second nature for pupils to put on a lab coat and safety glasses before starting experiments involving chemicals.

Pure cotton

The hard-wearing pupil lab coats are made from 100% cotton and are washable at high temperatures. They have a single breast pocket as well as two side pockets. The following sizes are available:

• Children’s sizes: 128, 134, 140, 146, 152, 1588 
• Women’s sizes: 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46
• Men’s sizes: 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56
